Yebogogo ( which means "yes grandma" in Zulu) is a gamified, social alarm with a simple but intriguing proposition: let your friends compose, record, and set the audio that plays on your alarm or reminder. And the best part is you, the alarm owner, are the last person to know! To get started download the app and log in with your existing Facebook account. On the Alarmni tab you will see the list of your Facebook friends who are already using Yebogogo, and you will see new ones as they join the alarmni. At any time you can block and unblock friends from your alarmni network.

To get the ball rolling set a Yebogogo alarm on your iPhone and publish it to your alarmni. Either you specify the friend that you want to anchor your alarm, in which case the alarm is visible only to the specified friend. Or you leave it open, in which case any of your (unblocked) alarmni can anchor it, on a first-come first-served basis. The first one to anchor it takes exclusive control of the anchoring from then onwards. Because you the alarm owner wont know the sound (or even the identity of the anchor if you hadnt specified one) until the alarm is triggered, all you can do now is sit back (or sleep) and wait for the ultimate wake up call. You snooze, you lose.

With Yebogogo, while you the host rightly set the time it is the guests who call the tune. Drunken karaoke from last night, a personal poem, a prayer, a sermon, choir practise, a rendition of the recipients favourite song, comedy shorts, a monologue ...anything..,its their call.

Yebogogo also adds one more spin on the good old alarm clock. When you anchor a friends alarm, you can specify the Echo feature. That means when the alarm is triggered for your friend, the same audio will play on your iPhone! This may be to share a moment, wake up at the same time, or just to relive you prowess or notoriety.
